What We Believe

We believe in God who has made Himself known through His Word, the Holy Bible. The divinely preserved Scriptures of the Old and New Testament being verbally inspired by God and inerrant and infallible in the original writings, stand as the only and final authority of our faith, life and practice. Therefore:

A. We believe that there is only one true God, eternal and holy, who deserves our full obedience. He is the all-powerful Creator and just Judge to whom every person is accountable.

B. We believe that God reveals Himself as the One and Only True God existing in three coeternal and coequal persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

C. We believe in the existence of a personal devil who works in the world to destroy the souls of men and that he, all fallen angels and all who reject God’s only Way of salvation will be punished in the lake of fire, forever separated from God.

D. We believe that God created human beings, male and female, in his image and likeness. However, having come from the first man who fell into sin, each person is a sinner deserving God’s righteous punishment. Each is separated from God, totally helpless to save one’s self.

E. We believe that God’s only way of salvation is through Jesus Christ, born miraculously of a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit to pay the penalty for man’s sins by dying on the cross; and, He rose bodily from the grave to rescue us from death and give us eternal life. By grace through faith in Him alone can one go to the Father in Heaven. He is the perfect Son of God and perfect Son of Man

F. We believe that all individuals who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit, thereby becoming heirs of eternal life as children of God and members of the Church, the ordinances of which are Baptism and the Lord’s Table, as given by Christ Jesus.

G. We believe in the blessed hope– the personal, visible and imminent return of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.
